US Resources:
Public Safety Officer's Benefit Program
National EMS Memorial Service
Welcome to the EMS Line of Duty Death Reporting Tool developed by the Center for Leadership, Innovation and Research in EMS in cooperation with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). This tool has been created for EMS practitioners to share line of duty death information by answering a series of questions in an online format.
For LODD reports from the United States, EVENT volunteer staff will notify the National EMS Memorial Service and the State EMS Director of the state the death is reported to have occurred in, the EMS community members signed up for our Google Group, and anyone else we deem appropriate based on the submission (such as the National Association of EMTs or the National EMS Management Association), via email. While volunteer staff are generally available within a few hours of a posting, we cannot guarantee timeliness, nor can we guarantee the recipient(s) is available to receive the notification.
For LODD reports from Canada, EVENT volunteer staff will notify the Provincial Regulators and the membership of the EMS Chiefs of Canada, via email. While volunteer staff are generally available within a few hours of a posting, we cannot guarantee timeliness, nor can we guarantee the intended recipient(s) is available to receive the notification.
